Profile:

Natalie joined us in April 2024 as a Commercial Property Partner to lead the department. She qualified in 2000 and has considerable experience in a wide range of commercial property matters. Natalie worked as in-house Counsel for a FTSE 100 leisure company in London with a vast portfolio of properties, as well as in private practice for 12 years. She returned home to the South West in 2016 where she was a partner at Kitsons and Knights plc, and a director at Prydis Legal Limited.

 

She has a good understanding of the commercial and financial pressures her clients face, as well as the legal issues, and has a pro active approach to transactions, looking to solve problems as they may arise.


Natalie acts for small businesses, investors, lenders, entrepreneurs, trusts, pension schemes and individuals. She advises on acquisitions and disposals of a wide variety of properties including retail parks, shopping centres, medical centres, warehouses, student accommodation, industrial sites and development sites. She also deals with small business sales and purchases including pubs, guest houses, B&Bs, hotels and retail businesses. She advises clients property finance transactions, acting for borrowers and lenders as well providing corporate support on sales of businesses where there is property involved.

 

She acts for residential/commercial developers from site acquisition, often dealing with complex and unusual title issues, conditional contracts/agreements for leases, through the planning process including negotiating s106 agreements and utility provider agreements, CIL contributions as well as negotiating and drafting overage provisions for both landowner and developer through to disposals of flats/houses/units, both freehold and leasehold. 

 

She is experienced in acting for landlords and tenants on commercial leases, as well as dealing with agreements for leases and all associated matters including licences, assignments, sub-lettings, alterations, deeds of variation, regrants, renewals, serving break notices and deeds of surrenders and sale of freeholds and leasebacks.
