Job Opportunity: Commercial Property Senior Associate/Partner

We are looking for a senior associate for our commercial property department with a view to becoming a fixed shared partner. The role will be a full time employed position with flexible working, in keeping with our set up and culture, which is a consultancy model, although it will be an employed role as indicated.

The successful candidate will be able to run a full caseload autonomously, but with support from the management team. The candidate will also have good client contacts and be happy undertaking marketing and business development as well as being up to speed with the necessary compliance. There is almost a full case load of work but the expectation is that the candidate will develop the further work of the department and manage the existing team.

The salary on offer is very competitive. We are also looking for someone local and based in Cornwall.

  • Flexibility.
  • Attention to detail is a must!

If you would like to apply for this VIP (Very Important Position), please email law@paddleandcocks.co.uk your CV and covering letter providing us with a bit of information about yourself and why you would be perfect for this role. So, what is it like working with us?

As a consultant you can:

  • Pick and choose your hours to balance your life according to your commitments;
  • Work from home, by the coast or be based in a city;
  • Work in a target free environment;
  • Set your own fee rates;
  • Be compensated for all of the hours that you work; and
  • Retain your own client relationships.

What we offer:

  • A position as a consultant solicitor in one of the commercial practice areas;
  • We provide you with the back office, our branding, insurance, IT support and case management system;
  • We work on a 70:30 fee share for work introduced and undertaken by you, a referral fee for work introduced to other consultants and a 60:40 fee share where we give you the work.

Don't take our word for it...

"I joined Paddle & Cocks after nearly 16 years at my previous firm. Even though I moved in the middle of the pandemic when in-person meetings were not possible the transition was smooth, the work flowed in, and Penny and Verona have been really supportive throughout. The flexibility and autonomy of working as a Consultant have been brilliant, I design my own working week to fit in with my own personal schedule, rather than the other way around, and I still feel very much an appreciated and valued member of the team.”

Jennifer Burden, Partner, Commercial Property
