Profile:
Amanda is a certified Privacy Practitioner (CIPP/E) with a Post Graduate Certificate in 'Data Protection Law and Information Governance' from Northumbria University and has trained as an Internal Auditor for ISO 27001.
Amanda worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry for 20 years as part of a successful Sales Team, handled regulatory compliance in a Medical Department and managed multinational clinical trials. More recently she has worked with many different types of organisations including businesses and charities, assisting with their compliance obligations. This includes training, auditing, writing Privacy Notices and keeping them up to date with the challenging landscape of Data Protection.
As well as working in Data Protection, Amanda has a marketing background and brings a pragmatic approach which emphasises what can be done while remaining compliant with Data Protection legislation.
