Profile:
After graduating with a BSc in Economics Helen worked in the City in various post graduate roles at JP Morgan (assistant in financial derivatives department), Gartmore (fund managers assistant in continental European equities) and Nomura (data analyst).
Helen then qualified as a solicitor in 2001 whilst working at Coodes leaving in 2008 to co-found her own firm Charles French Solicitors Ltd. Helen was a director there, head of private client and the office manager for Mevagissey before joining Paddle & Cocks LLP Solicitors in March 2026.

Helen’s legal work experience is wide ranging and includes:
- Trusts and Will drafting
- Providing comprehensive IHT advice
- Creating Powers of Attorney
- Professional attorneyship and executorship
- Knowledge of dealing with the Court of Protection and the Office of the Public Guardian
- Probate applications and IHT computations, negotiating with the District Valuer.
Helen enjoys a client facing role and finds she has a rapport with elderly clients. She is an accredited member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers.
Outside of work Helen is kept busy by her six children. She enjoys floristry, especially Ikebana, she is learning the Italian language, and she is a Rock Choir member. In her downtime Helen likes to practice yoga and walk her dog, Jeannie.
